One Of The Best
National Place is located in one of the best, if not the best, district of the Springfield public school system including K-12. It is also only minutes from two of the largest universities in the city – Missouri State University with about 24,000 students, and Drury University with about 5,000 students. The universities are valuable assets as related to residents of National Place due to the wealth of cultural, artistic (i.e., art, theater, dance, etc.) and educational opportunities they offer.
Keeping National Place looking good was always on the mind of its developer as evidenced by the installation of underground telephone and electrical lines and the requirement that all homes that were to be built must have trees in their front yards. The trees are now mature and beautiful and all of the homes in National Place have ample setbacks and backyards.
National Place is under the management of a homeowners association called the National Place Property Owners Association (NPPOA) which is made up of National Place property owners who are looking out for the best interests of our residents in hopes of maintaining property values and a wonderful quality of life. Like most home owner associations, National Place is governed by a set of Rules and Regulations which all residents are expected to abide.
The quality of the neighborhood is reflected in the quality of its residents and the amount of care for their property as evidenced by their private gardens and maintenance of their lawns. Among the residents, you will find teachers, lawyers, business owners, singles, families and retirees.
In addition to all the assets found in and around National Place, it has some of the most reasonably-priced homes in the city of Springfield and the surrounding area. Property values have remained consistently high since its inception.
National Place is located just minutes from one of the nicest and largest shopping and dining areas of Springfield. In addition to being just minutes from local banks and Battlefield Mall featuring 1.2 million square feet, National Place is close to local shopping and dozens of restaurants offering traditional American fare as well as international fare such as Mexican, Italian, Mediterranean, Indian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese and more! All of this yet National Place is far enough away to have peace and quiet.

Located just 2 miles from National Place is the campus of CoxHealth Hospital with a full complement of healthcare services from a large hospital system as well as an orthopedic surgery center and full-service wellness center. Just 3 miles further north is the second largest hospital in the state of Missouri – Mercy Hospital Springfield with specialty surgery centers, cancer centers, heart-health centers and much more. Both hospitals have emergency ambulance and helicopter services.
As for City services, being located within the borders of the City of Springfield, National Place is served by an excellent municipal police department and one of the best fire departments in the state of Missouri. The proximity to our local fire department station also serves to keep our property taxes reletively low.
As if all of that wasn’t enough, National Place is located within minutes of Highway 65 which leads south to Branson, MO, and other southern communities or north to Interstate 44 leading east to St. Louis or West to Tulsa. And we are only a five-minute drive to the city’s largest and most popular farmers market – Farmers Market of the Ozarks.
