National Place is located in one of the best, if not the best, district of the Springfield public school system including K-12. It is also only minutes from two of the largest universities in the city – Missouri State University with about 24,000 students, and Drury University with about 5,000 students. The universities are valuable assets as related to residents of National Place due to the wealth of cultural, artistic (i.e., art, theater, dance, etc.) and educational opportunities they offer.
Keeping National Place looking good was always on the mind of its developer as evidenced by the installation of underground telephone and electrical lines and the requirement that all homes that were to be built must have trees in their front yards. The trees are now mature and beautiful and all of the homes in National Place have ample setbacks and backyards.

Just 3 miles further north is the second largest hospital in the state of Missouri – Mercy Hospital Springfield with specialty surgery centers, cancer centers, heart-health centers and much more. As for City services, being located within the borders of the City of Springfield, National Place is served by an excellent municipal police department and one of the best fire departments in the state of Missouri. The proximity to our local fire department station also serves to keep our property taxes reletively low.
As if all of that wasn’t enough, National Place is located within minutes of Highway 65 which leads south to Branson, MO, and other southern communities or north to Interstate 44 leading east to St. Louis or West to Tulsa. And we are only a five-minute drive to the city’s largest and most popular farmers market – Farmers Market of the Ozarks.
